  • Username: The username of your email account is the email itself.
  • Password: The password of your email account.
  • POP/IMAP/SMTP Server: The server address where your email is hosted on.
  • Server Port: The port addresses connected to your server, the default ports are: IMAP: 993 - POP3: 995 - SMTP: 465

Steps to set up your email in Windows 10 Mail

1. Add Account

First of all, start up Windows 10 Mail and go to Accounts. Under the accounts, press Add account

If you already use Windows 10 Mail, a window will appear on the right with your email address(es), at the bottom you will find the button “Add account”

2. Go to Advanced Configuration

A window will now open in which you can add the account.

Here, at the very bottom, press Advanced Settings

Now choose Internet e-mail to get to your setting

Now press Sign In to finish adding your account.
A confirmation will be sent that this was successful. Press Done here.
If you have completed all the steps, you have successfully added your email address to Windows 10 Mail.

You can now start sending and receiving email right away!

Add an additional email address (optional)

Do you want to use multiple email addresses in the Windows 10 mail program? Then this is certainly possible. You do have to add your extra e-mail address to the e-mail program. You do this by clicking on "Add an email account next to an existing account". Because you have already added an e-mail address to the mail program, adding an extra e-mail address is a little easier. So this is how it happened.

You can also add three, four or even more email addresses to Windows 10 Mail. Give these email accounts a meaningful name, such as "Work", "Study" or "Private". This will prevent you from mixing up the accounts.
